Saturdays, ages 9 to 15
Open practice
Two hours on Saturday afternoons with a teacher on the floor, music dancers bring to try and a circle for anyone who wants it.
Open practice is for dancers who want more floor time. Work on what came up in class, try a sequence in the circle or just watch and warm up. It is unstructured on purpose, with a teacher nearby for questions and a quiet corner for anyone who needs a break.
Saturdays, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Ages 9 to 15
Up to 14 dancers at a time
Studio A, with a sprung wooden floor

What a class is like
- 01
Step 1: Check in
Sign in at the front desk and put your bag on the shelf. Phones stay in it.
- 02
Step 2: Warm up together
Taj leads a short warm-up for everyone who has arrived.
- 03
Step 3: Practice time
Work on your own or with friends, and ask a teacher to look at anything you are stuck on.
- 04
Step 4: Music requests
Dancers can suggest a song for the group to try, and a teacher checks it first.
- 05
Step 5: The circle
Anyone who wants to steps in for a few counts. Nobody has to, and everybody cheers.
What to wear and bring
Clothes that move
The same as class: a T-shirt or hoodie and pants or shorts you can move in.
Clean sneakers
Flat-soled sneakers, or socks. Leave outdoor shoes by the door.
Water and a snack
Bring a water bottle, and a snack for the break in the middle.
